I have been considering a breast augmentation and trying to decide between silicone or saline implants. That’s until I read this, “In the end there will likely be many more available breast implant choices for patients in the coming year.” on a Dallas plastic surgeon’s website. Now I have to consider waiting a while to see what else may be available to me.

I have always had very large lips and sometimes it’s almost embarrassing. I decided that I want a lip reduction, but I was worried that there would be scars. I looked around on the internet and found a New York City plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “It involves incisions on the inside of the lips, with removal of excess tissues. These incisions are well hidden inside the mouth so there are no scars visible.”

I have been wondering where the incision for a facelift is located because I am worried about scarring. I decided that I would look into it on the internet. I found a Michigan plastic surgeon’s website with my answer. It says, “The facelift incision usually begins in the hairline at the temple. The incision continues behind the ear. The skin is raised to expose the underlying tissue.”

I have been wanting a nose job since I was in elementary school, but my parents would never let me get one. I eventually gave up, but now I can finally afford my own nose job. I looked into how the procedure is performed so I would know what to expect. I found an Anaheim plastic surgeon’s website with my answer. It says, “In most procedures, the skin of the nose is lifted away from the bone and cartilage framework beneath, which is then shaped and sculpted as desired.”

This is embarrassing, but I feel my labia minora is much larger than a normal woman’s labia minora. I thought there was absolutely no way to fix it, but after some research, I found a way. On a Chicago plastic surgeon’s website it describes a surgery known as Labia Minora Reduction and says, “Various techniques are available for treating prominent labia minora. The standard approach utilized by many gynecologists and plastic surgeons is a simple removal of leading edge of the labia, thereby shortening and reducing it. The edge is then repaired. This is the least complicated technique and is easily completed in the office.”

My friend recently received a nose job. It’s already been about a week, but she continues to complain that it still looks big. I repeatedly tell her that it’s due to swelling. So I am going to save myself trouble and find a site with information on nose job recovery. I found a Honolulu plastic surgeon’s website with just the information I need. “The patient will have an external splint or cast which will protect the nose for 1 week and the nose may be packed for 24 to 48 hours. The swelling and bruising improves to acceptable levels within 2 to 3 weeks. The final result is more apparent after 1 to 2 years.”

I have been considering botox injections for some time now, but I have always wondered, why do facial lines form in the first place. I decided that I would look it up online. I found a Michigan plastic surgeon’s website with my answer. “The frown lines are caused by two muscles of the forehead. As the muscles contract, they will pull the skin together, as time progresses, the repeated contraction produces lines to the skin.”

Being African-American and wanting a rhinoplasty may be tricky. I wanted to make sure that if I were to receive one that I would still have the features of my heritage. I did some searching to see what plastic surgeons have to say about this. I found a Los Angeles plastic surgeon’s website with information. It says, “The approach to nasal surgery varies from individual to individual. Patients may have a specific area of the nose they want improved. Ethnic characteristics must be respected when enhancing the appearance of the African-American, Asian, Caucasian, Hispanic or the Middle Eastern nose.”

I have heard of a tummy tuck before, but I am not well informed. I had no idea where the surgery was performed or how they performed it before I found this San Mateo plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “A horizontal incision is made in the area between the pubic area and navel, hidden below the panty-line. Where correction is isolated to the area below the navel, a mini tummy tuck with a shorter incision may be recommended.”

I have been curiously thinking where a blepharoplasty procedure is probably performed. I decided I would get an answer to my question by searching online. I found a Kansas plastic surgeon with an answer. He says, “Your eyelid surgery may be performed in a hospital, free-standing ambulatory facility or office-based surgical suite.”

I have recently lost over 150 pounds through Bariatric Surgery and I now have a lot of loose, hanging skin. I want to know if I am a typical candidate for an arm lift or if I will just be declined. I found a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon’s website with some good news. It says, “The majority of candidates for brachioplasty are those have lost massive weight following Bariatric Surgery, also known as ’stomach stapling’ or ‘lap banding.’”

I’m planning on receiving an ear pinning procedure in the late summer but I’m very worried about possible complications. I found a Dallas plastic surgeon’s website with some reassuring information. It says, “Occasionally, patients develop an infection in the cartilage, which can cause scar tissue to form. Such infections are usually treated with antibiotics; rarely, surgery may be required to drain the infected area.”

I’m receiving a blepharoplasty in the fall and I have been wondering where the incision is placed and if the scar is visible. I looked around on the internet for an answer and found a West Palm Beach plastic surgeon’s website. I’m very pleased that it says, “The upper eyelid incision is hidden very well back within the deep crease that is seen when the eye is shut, but retracts back when the eyelid is open.”

I have been wondering what a couple of body contouring plastic surgery procedures are so I did some searching online and found a Long Beach plastic surgeon’s website. His site lists a few of them including tummy tuck, liposuction, and arm lift. Now that I know a few of them I can decide which procedures are best for me.

I recently heard of a type of liposuction known as smart lipo. I was very curious to find out the difference as I am going to be receiving liposuction in a few months. I did some searching online and found a Tulsa plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “Conventional liposuction is meant to remove greater amounts of fat.” also “Smart Lipo is ideal for the neck, jawline, arms, breasts, ‘bra fat,’ abdomen, “love handles”, “saddle bags”, inner and outer thighs and knees.”

I have been wondering if I’m an ideal candidate for a tummy tuck. I am in fairly good shape, but I have a tummy that will not go away no matter how hard I try. I did some online searching and found a Miami plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “Abdominoplasty is not, however, a substitute for weight reduction, and it is not meant as a treatment for obesity. The ideal candidate for abdominoplasty has relatively normal weight with weak abdominal muscles and excess skin and fat of the lower abdomen.”

I have been curious as to how visible the incisions are for breast augmentation. I did some searching online and found a Chicago plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “The breast incision is quite small and is placed in non-visible areas. Saline implants are placed under the chest muscles, as well as the breast, for smooth cover.”
