I was searching for things to avoid before receiving laser hair removal and ended up finding the website of a Miami plastic surgeon. His website says, “Do not tan areas for two weeks prior to treatment.”

The patient will often describe the sensation that someone or something has hit the back of the calf muscle. Pain is suddenly present, and although it is possible to walk, it is usually painful. After reading this on the website of a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, I realized that I most likely have a ruptured achillies tendon.

I went online searching for information on facelift surgery. I ended up on the website of a San Diego plastic surgeon “The best way to assess whether a particular surgeon’s facelift approach is consistent with your personal goals and taste, is to exam the surgeons before and after photographs, visit or talk with past patients, compare incisions styles, and recovery rates.”

I found my answer on a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “In an alternative method called sliding osteotomy, a portion of the chin bone is permanently moved forward.”

One of the things about a breast lift that scares me the most is the potential scarring. I wanted to know as much about scarring from the procedure as I could. I looked into it and ended up on the website of a Utah plastic surgeon. It says, “This is not to minimize the reality of a scar, but rather to suggest that most patients are very happy to have a nice, perky breast, and that in the end the scars are not as big a concern as they seem to be in the beginning.”

I found this on a Dallas plastic surgeon’s website while looking around for information on breast augmentation surgery. “There is no one implant-type or type of augmentation that is best for all patients, just like there is not one type of house or car that best suit everyone.” It’s reassuring to know that even if my body may not be the body of a typical patient receiving a breast augmentation that my results will be the same.

Many people have heard of the medical procedure known as liposuction, but rarely do they realize how the procedure is performed. I was once uninformed as well until I found the website of a Lansing plastic surgeon. It says, “A very new technique has been recently developed called “The Smart-Lipo” technique, which uses a laser to dissolve fatty tissue before the suction is done.”

Many people think that laser hair removal is a very painful procedure. This is more than likely because of the media. A Miami plastic surgeon’s website says, “Topical Anesthesia can be used for areas that are more sensitive.” Typically laser hair removal is not a painful procedure and that is not only with Miami laser hair removal, but with all laser hair removal.

“As with collagen, “overfilling” is necessary to allow for fat absorption in the weeks following treatment.” I read this on the website of a College Station plastic surgeon. After finding this out about the fat transfer procedure I decided that it wasn’t as scary as I had previously thought.

I recently decided that I wanted to have a breast lift performed on me so I went online to find out what I can expect for side effects. In my search I found a Chicago plastic surgeon’s website. It had my answer and says, “Most swelling and discoloration will subside after a few weeks. There may be a temporary loss of sensation in the breast skin but this improves with time.”

I was looking for general information on neck lift surgery when I stumbled upon some information that caught my eye on an Oklahoma City plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “To hold the skin in its new position, strips of skin are cut away and the resultant opening is closed by drawing the edges together. The strips are removed in locations that will not be apparent after healing. Both sides of the face are treated to keep a symmetrical appearance.”

The one thing that was leaning me away from laser hair removal was the side effects. I was very worried that they would be severe and painful, but after finding a Laguna Beach plastic surgeon’s website I knew otherwise. It says, “Possible side effects of treatment include mild redness, local swelling, dry skin, mild tenderness, blistering, whitehead-like bumps and lightening or darkening of the skin. Symptoms may be present for a couple of hours to days after treatment.”
