According to Dr. Francis Palmer, a Beverly Hills cosmetic surgeon, “Where the incision is placed is a consideration as it does have an effect on the visibility of the scar, possible damage to the milk ducts of the breasts and the lymphatic drainage of the breasts.” The three most common breast augmentation incision sites are transaxillary, inframammary, and periareolar. Transaxillary is through an incision placed in a woman’s armpits. Inframammary is when a breast implant is inserted through an incision in the breast fold, underneath the breast. The last incision type, periareolar, is when a breast implant is placed through an incision located around a woman’s nipple.

Occasionally, an eyelid lift may not go as planned. According to Dr. Francis Palmer, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, eyelid surgery can also be done as a revision or secondary procedure to remove skin and fatty tissue. He discusses that this procedure may be performed as a result of fat and skin that were missed in the initial blepharoplasty procedure. Also, it may be performed after a few years where aging has occurred and the tissues have again fallen. He also explains that residual fat is common in the inside portion of the upper eyelid and outer portion of the lower eyelid.

When thinking about receiving any plastic surgery procedure you must acknowledge that there are risks associated with the procedure. Many plastic surgeons’ websites have lists of these including Dr. Mohamad Bazzi’s. The Michigan plastic surgeon’s website says that breast augmentation risks include unfavorable scarring, bleeding, infection, poor healing of incisions, changes in breast or nipple sensation which can be permanent or temporary, blood clots, pain that may or may not be persistent, implant leakage or rupture, as well as many others. These risks are generally rare, but can be very serious. There is also no proven link between breast implants and breast health.

Any person thinking about receiving a tummy tuck should be considering this question, “Is it possible to have children after a tummy tuck?” While looking around online I found the answer to that question on the website of a Michigan plastic surgeon. It says, “Yes, it is possible to become pregnant and have full-term babies after a tummy tuck. However, pregnancy will re-create many deformities treated by the tummy tuck procedure.”

The patient will often describe the sensation that someone or something has hit the back of the calf muscle. Pain is suddenly present, and although it is possible to walk, it is usually painful. After reading this on the website of a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon, I realized that I most likely have a ruptured achillies tendon.

The one thing that was leaning me away from laser hair removal was the side effects. I was very worried that they would be severe and painful, but after finding a Laguna Beach plastic surgeon’s website I knew otherwise. It says, “Possible side effects of treatment include mild redness, local swelling, dry skin, mild tenderness, blistering, whitehead-like bumps and lightening or darkening of the skin. Symptoms may be present for a couple of hours to days after treatment.”

“Dr. Gordon will determine when normal activities can be resumed; however, weight training and aerobic exercise must be avoided for several days.” After reading this on a website of a Las Vegas plastic surgeon, my heart sunk. I have been working out every other day for a while now which is why I need a thigh lift in the first place. It will hurt to not be able to get any exercising in for a few days, but I’m sure it will be worth it.

The recovery of my body after a breast lift is the most important part in my eyes. I did some looking around online and found out some basic information about breast lift recovery. On a West Palm Beach plastic surgeon’s website it says, “Recovery: Back to work: 1 week or more. Strenuous activities: 1 month. Fading of scars: several months to a year.”

“You may be a candidate for ear pinning (otoplasty) if you have ears that stick out too far from the side of the head. You may also want to have an otoplasty procedure if your ears have an unusual or undesirable shape.” These sound just like two of the reasons I have been giving my parents for the last 2 years. Maybe if I show them the Santa Monica plastic surgeon’s website where I found this information they will finally get me the otoplasty I have been wanting.

I was looking around online for information on liposuction when I stumbled upon something interesting on a Utah plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “Dr. Lockwood, one of the promoters of true body lifting, points out that liposuction makes the patient look thinner, whereas a body lift tightens the skin and makes an individual look younger.” Now I look for information on lower body lift surgery.

“There are few things more devastating for a man’s self esteem then losing his hair. As his hair goes, so does his feeling of vitality and youth. A hair transplant helps to restore a man’s self confidence and makes him appear much younger.” I recently found that on a Honolulu plastic surgeon’s website. I thought for sure when I was younger that I wouldn’t go bald, now that describes me as good as I could have done. I am devastated, and I have lost a lot of self confidence. Thankfully many plastic surgeon’s offer hair transplants so that I can revitalize my youth and confidence.

I have always had very large lips and sometimes it’s almost embarrassing. I decided that I want a lip reduction, but I was worried that there would be scars. I looked around on the internet and found a New York City plastic surgeon’s website. It says, “It involves incisions on the inside of the lips, with removal of excess tissues. These incisions are well hidden inside the mouth so there are no scars visible.”

This is embarrassing, but I feel my labia minora is much larger than a normal woman’s labia minora. I thought there was absolutely no way to fix it, but after some research, I found a way. On a Chicago plastic surgeon’s website it describes a surgery known as Labia Minora Reduction and says, “Various techniques are available for treating prominent labia minora. The standard approach utilized by many gynecologists and plastic surgeons is a simple removal of leading edge of the labia, thereby shortening and reducing it. The edge is then repaired. This is the least complicated technique and is easily completed in the office.”

I have been wondering when breast reconstruction can be performed. I did some online research and found a Chicago plastic surgeon’s website with my answer. It says, “The most common surgical procedure to reduce the physical deformity following mastectomy is referred to as a breast reconstruction. This is a staged procedure, that is, the surgeon first inserts a tissue expander either at the time of the mastectomy or as a delayed procedure approximately three months later.”

I’ve had a problem with my nipples my whole life and always thought that I was alone. They are inverted and it’s very embarrassing to me for anyone to see them. I found out that many women suffer from this problem and better yet, there is a solution. I found a Phoenix plastic surgeon’s website that describes a surgery known as inverted nipple correction. It says, “For many women these can create emotional and functional concerns. Nipples that are flat and indented can be corrected. The incision in very inconspicuous and located usually around the nipple only. The surgeon releases the tacked down tissue using small sutures to close the area.”

Frequently, these implants will help provide a more harmonious balance to your face and features so that you feel better about the way you look.”

Liposuction can remove stubborn areas of fat that do not respond to traditional weight loss methods. During the surgery, a small incision is made and a pencil-sized cannula (tube) is passed to suction the fat. One or two stitches are used to close the incision. After surgery, you may find that you are more comfortable in a wide variety of clothes and more at ease with your body.

A liposuction can help individuals restore a thinner and fitter looking contour to their bodies. The specified portion of the body is made smaller to better match the shape of the patient. Plastic Surgeons accomplish this by removing excess fat through a vacuuming procedure. This not only helps to restore the physical appearance of the patient, but also restores self-confidence and respect to the patient.

There are essentially two major problems that affect the eyelids. One is the build up of excess fat behind the eyelids, especially in the lower eyelids. This pushes outward on the eyelid causing a bulge or “bag” to develop. Light, which most often comes from above us, will shine on the bulge and cause a shadow to form under the lid. This gives the appearance of dark circles and the tired-look. A board certified plastic surgeon can answer any questions about eyelid surgery that you may have.

For the most part, the operation is done on children between the ages of four and 14. Ears are almost fully grown by age four, and the earlier the surgery, the less teasing and ridicule the child will have to endure. Ear surgery on adults is also possible, and there are generally no additional risks associated with ear surgery on an older patient.

Rhinoplasty may be appropriate for you if you are dissatisfied with the shape of your nose or if you do not breathe well through your nose. The operation is rarely done before facial growth is completed, that is, age 14 -16. The thickness of the skin on the nose is different in different people. Thinner skin allows any changes made in the underlying skeleton of bone and cartilage to show through clearly. Thick skin tends to hide such changes and may limit the production of a fine delicate look. As we get older it becomes harder to adjust to the look of a very different nose, and dramatic changes may not be a good idea after age 35. Only a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon can help you achieve the look you desire.
I find is interesting they recommend you not get a nose job after the age of 35. Has anyone had one done after that? How has it affected you?

You may be a candidate for liposuction if you have excess subcutaneous fat, which is resistant to diet and exercise. Liposuction may also be desirable if you wish to change the contours of your body. Commonly involved areas are the anterior part of the neck (under the chin), upper arms and armpits, male chest/breasts, trunk, abdomen, waist, hips, thighs, inner knees, calves, and ankles. Most patients are near normal weight and desire permanent contour changes. For the best liposuction services consult a board certified plastic surgeon.
Liposuction is a great way to get rid of unwanted fat. Let’s discuss the pros and cons of liposuction.

Chin augmentation is a way to bring balance to the facial structure of correcting a weak chin due to the related bone resorption or facial trauma. This procedure can be as simple as injecting a tissue augmentation filler to implanting a silicone or porex chin implant. A weak chin can also make a normal nose appear large and an already pronounced nose larger. It may also give the appearance of a fleshy neck. This also brings a balanced relationship within the structure of the face. Consult with an Austin Board Certified Plastic Surgeon about this plastic surgery procedure.
I was unaware how important a chin is to the balance of one’s face. Has anyone ever thought about having this surgery?

Eyelid surgery (technically called blepharoplasty) is a procedure to remove fat–usually along with excess skin and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Eyelid surgery can correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below your eyes - features that make you look older and more tired than you feel, and may even interfere with your vision. However, it won’t remove crow’s feet or other wrinkles, eliminate dark circles under your eyes, or lift sagging eyebrows. While it can add an upper eyelid crease to Asian eyes, it will not erase evidence of your ethnic or racial heritage. Blepharoplasty can be done alone, or in conjunction with other facial surgery procedures such as a facelift or browlift.
If you’re interested in creating a whole new you, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon can help you design a complete makeover.
Has anyone ever had a blepharoplasty procedure performed on them?

Many features which are not desirable in a nose may be improved through Rhinoplasty. Noses may be made narrower, straighter, longer or shorter. Humps may be removed and the shape, size and angle and definition of the tip of the nose may be altered. Breathing problems caused by a deviated septum may be corrected. Rhinoplasty may be performed at any time after facial growth has been completed that is age 15-16 for women and age 16-17 for men. The ideal outcome for Rhinoplasty is a natural appearing with balance and harmony, enhancing beauty of the eyes and lips. Always use a board certified plastic surgeon to perform your rhinoplasty.
I never realized how many different things they can fix performing nasal surgery on someone. Do you have any personal experiences with rhinoplasty? Please discuss.

You may be a candidate for Botox® if you have lines or deep grooves along your forehead between your eyebrows, or around the corners of your eyes (crow’s feet) that bother you. Botox injections are a temporary solution for reducing the appearance of lines and can last anywhere from 3-5 months. Dr. Kearney performs Botox injections in the office and there is no anesthetic required and no downtime. You may return to normal activities immediately following your appointment. It usually takes 3-4 days to see the effects of Botox. Botox can also be used to treat overactive sweat glands in the armpits as well as help in the treatment of Migraine headaches. On an occasional patient, Botox is used in the mouth area to decease the appearance of vertical lip lines.

If You’re Considering Scar Revision…
Scars, whether they’re caused by accidents or by surgery, are unpredictable. The way a scar develops depends as much on how your body heals as it does on the original injury or on the surgeon’s skills.
Many variables can affect the severity of scarring, including the size and depth of the wound, the blood supply to the area, the thickness and color of your skin, and the direction of the scar. How much the appearance of a scar bothers you is, of course, a personal matter.
While no scar can be removed completely, plastic surgeons can often improve the appearance of a scar, making it less obvious through the injection or application of certain steroid medications or through surgical procedures known as scar revisions.
If you’re considering scar revision, this will give you a basic understanding of the most common types of scars, the procedures used to treat them, and the results you can expect. It can’t answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Please be sure to ask your doctor if there is anything about the procedure you don’t understand.
After Scar Revision
With any kind or scar revision, it’s very important to follow your surgeon’s instructions after surgery to make sure the wound heals properly. Although you may be up and about very quickly, your surgeon will advise you on gradually resuming your normal activities.
As you heal, keep in mind that no scar can be removed completely; the degree of improvement depends on the size and direction of your scar, the nature and quality of your skin, and how well you care for the wound after the operation. If your scar looks worse at first, don’t panic-the final results of your surgery may not be apparent for a year or more.
For Scar Revision in Los Angeles please contact Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Jay Granzow.

“Doc, I hate these wings!” This is a common refrain heard by many Los Angeles Plastic Surgeons, from patients who complain about the redundant, excess skin and fat of their upper arms. There are many reasons why patients develop this problem. Weight loss, the aging process, after Gastric Bypass Surgery and various medical conditions all can be the cause. The common complaint is that the skin and soft tissues hang creating an unsightly appearance even when the arms are fully covered. Short sleeve shirts and blouses can leave patients feeling embarrassed and constantly aware of the issue, but there is hope! An Arm Lift, or Liposuction, or both, may be the answer.
Patients who are candidates for an Arm lift include people who have:
* Loose skin of the upper arms
* Had significant weight loss
* Excessively full upper arms
* Embarrassment from redundant upper arm soft tissues
Patients should always begin with a thorough consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Warren Lent, A Board certified Beverly Hills, Plastic Surgeon, will meet with you to examine you and fully assess your needs. He will make a recommendation as to which treatment, such as an Arm Lift or Liposuction may best serve your needs.
An Arm Lift is usually performed under general anesthesia. Before surgery, the amount of skin and fat to be removed will be estimated and markings will be placed accordingly. Unlike most physicians, Dr. Lent places the incision on the underside of the arm in a location making the resulting scars as inconspicuous as possible. On some occasions the incision can be placed in the Axilla (armpit). Prior to surgery, all patients are asked to avoid any medication, which thins the blood, such as Aspirin, for at least two weeks. Patients are told to avoid exercise and heavy lifting for at least six weeks after surgery.
Like all medical treatment an Arm Lift is generally a safe procedure, but there are risks. The risks include bleeding, infection, skin injury and the risk of anesthesia. Under the care of a Board Certified Los Angeles Plastic Surgeon, like Dr. Lent, every effort will be made to prevent and minimize risk to make your outcome a successful one. It is very important that smokers quit smoking and using nicotine products for at least one month before and for at least one month after surgery.
An Arm Lift is an excellent way for men and women to tighten and lift their upper arms. This can result in a more youthful and firmer appearance. Patients are usually thrilled at having their “wings” removed, giving them greater freedom to wear normal clothing again and participate in all physical activities. Most importantly, Dr. Lent’s Beverly Hills, Plastic Surgery patients comment on their renewed sense of self-image and self-confidence.
To best understand all of your options, a full consultation with Dr. Warren Lent is recommended. For further details on each aspect of an Arm Lift, Dr. Lent invites you to visit his collection of articles in his Arm/Thigh Info Center, Liposuction Info Center or Gastric Bypass Info Center.

For most people, the nose is the most prominent feature on the face, so it’s no wonder that surgery to change the shape of the nose, known as rhinoplasty Atlanta, is one of the most popular at our Atlanta-area practice. Rhinoplasty Atlanta can be used to decrease or increase the length or width of the nose, or to change the shape or angle of the tip or bridge. It can also be used to straighten or enlarge malformed nasal passages that restrict breathing.
To perform rhinoplasty Atlanta at our Georgia center, Dr. Davoudi begins by making incisions either inside the nose or in the skin between the nostrils, so that there is little of no visible scarring. The skin is gently lifted away from the cartilage which supports the nose, so that it can be sculpted into a shape that is more in harmony with the general contours of the face. If the cartilage in the center of the nose is inhibiting airflow, it will be corrected.
Many features which are not desirable in a nose may be improved through Rhinoplasty Atlanta. Noses may be made narrower, straighter, longer or shorter. Humps may be removed and the shape, size and angle and definition of the tip of the nose may be altered. Breathing problems caused by a deviated septum may be corrected. Rhinoplasty Atlanta may be performed at any time after facial growth has been completed that is age 15-16 for women and age 16-17 for men. The ideal outcome for Rhinoplasty Atlanta is a natural appearing with balance and harmony, enhancing beauty of the eyes and lips.

A facelift restores smoother, more pleasing contours to your face and neck. It can help you look as good as you feel, and perhaps feel younger than you are.
Am I a good candidate for a facelift?
Any one or combination of the following conditions may indicate that you are a good candidate for a facelift:
* a deep line, or fold, running from the corner of your nose to the corner of your mouth.
* jowls, or loss of a well-defined jawline associated with youthfulness.
* deep wrinkles in the cheeks and sagging of the “highlight” areas of the cheekbones.
* loose skin, wrinkles, vertical “cords” or excess fatty tissue in the neck.
A facelift can improve all of these problems. It cannot, however, correct conditions such as sagging eyebrows, excess skin and fatty deposits in the upper and lower eyelids, or wrinkles around the mouth. Your plastic surgeon can provide further information if you have an interest in other procedures to treat these areas.
Dr. Michael Schwartz in California can help you to achieve your goals. He specializes in procedures relating to facelift surgery including procedures such as breast augmentation and tummy tucks. To schedule an appointment or to learn more about a facelift, please contact us today.

Vaginal Rejuvenation is frequently requested after a woman has given birth. Often with normal vaginal deliveries the vagina is torn and never regains its original tone. With Vaginal rejuvenation the vaginal muscles are tightened and the area can be made tighter than the original orifice. Scarring is internal and not visible and the procedure is safe and reliable.
Dr. Benjamin Chu in Hawaii can help you to achieve your goals. He specializes in procedures relating to vaginal rejuvenation including procedures such as face lifts, breast augmentation, nose jobs, ear pinning, liposuction, and tummy tucks. To schedule an appointment or to learn more about a vaginal rejuvenation, please contact us today.

Plastic surgeons use facial implants to improve and enhance facial contours. Frequently, these implants will help provide a more harmonious balance to your face and features so that you feel better about the way you look.
Cheek implant surgery usually takes about 30 to 45 minutes. When cheek implants are being placed in conjunction with another cosmetic procedure, such as a facelift, forehead lift or eyelid surgery, the implants may be inserted through the incisions made for those procedures. Otherwise, an incision will be made either inside your upper lip or your lower eyelid. A pocket is then formed and an implant is inserted.
After surgery, a dressing will be applied to minimize discomfort and swelling. The severity and duration of such side effects may vary, especially if another cosmetic procedure was performed at the same time.
If you are considering cheek augmentation in Phoenix Arizona contact cosmetic surgeon Robert Marouk. Facial plastic surgery procedures offered at the Cosmetic Surgical Art Center in Phoenix Arizona include facelift surgery, rhinoplasty, neck lift surgery, blepharoplasty, lip augmentation and ear surgery.

Procedure Description:
Removal of unwanted fatty tissue from areas of heavy deposits.
What To Expect:
Dr. Flint will meet with you to determine which areas of your body would benefit from liposuction. She will listen to your goals and examine you. She will discuss the procedure with you and answer any questions you may have.
Liposuction can provide dramatic improvements in areas of your body that are not responsive to diet and exercise.
Preprocedure:
Dr. Flint will describe the technique of tumescent or super-wet liposuction. All of your questions will be answered. You will be provided with information regarding fees and given an opportunity to select a date for your surgery if you so desire.
Postprocedure:
When you awaken in the recovery room, you will be wearing a light compression garment on the areas that were liposuctioned. This helps decrease bruising and swelling. You will be allowed to return home approximately two hours following the procedure. You will be sore for about one week but the discomfort is fairly mild. Bruising can persist for up to three weeks. Dr. Flint will see you in the office at one week, one month and four months post-operatively. Most people return to work one week after surgery. No lifting or athletic activities are allowed for three weeks because it can cause excessive swelling and bruising. The results will be obvious within two weeks of surgery, but the final results will be evident in three to four months.
For liposuction in Scottsdale and in Mesa Arizona contact female board certified plastic surgeon Patti Flint, M.D.

If You’re Considering Ear Surgery…
Ear surgery, or otoplasty, is usually done to set prominent ears back closer to the head or to reduce the size of large ears.
If you’re considering ear surgery for yourself or your child, this information will give you a basic understanding of the procedure-when it can help, how it’s performed, and what results you can expect. It can’t answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on your individual circumstances. Please be sure to ask your doctor if there is anything you don’t understand about the procedure
All Surgery Carries Some Uncertainty and Risk
When ear surgery is performed by a qualified, experienced surgeon, complications are infrequent and usually minor. Nevertheless, as with any operation, there are risks associated with surgery and specific complications associated with this procedure.
A small percentage of patients may develop a blood clot on the ear. It may dissolve naturally or can be drawn out with a needle.
Occasionally, patients develop an infection in the cartilage, which can cause scar tissue to form. Such infections are usually treated with antibiotics; rarely, surgery may be required to drain the infected area.

Breast Augmentation in La Jolla is also known as breast enlargement or breast enhancement in La Jolla. Breast augmentation in La Jolla is among the most popular procedures in our practice. The numbers of augmentation surgery done annually has increased steadily in the past few years. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in 2003, more than 250,000 women had breast augmentation. Dr. Rechnic has been performing the surgery for over 20 years.
Breast augmentation and breast implants have been extensively studied and are regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. Silicone gel implants are still considered for “investigational” use for reconstruction, and other limited applications as of January 2005. We recommend that all patients read the FDA Breast Implant Consumer Handbook, available on line at: http://www.fda.gov/cdrh/breastimplants/indexbip.html

As people age, effects of gravity to the sun, and the stresses of daily life can be seen in their faces. Deep creases form between the nose and mouth, the jaw line grows slack and jowly, folds and fat deposits appear around the neck. One should know that the face lift can’t stop the aging process. It can only “set back the clock”, improving the most visible signs of aging by removing excess fat, Tightening underlying muscles and re draping the skin of your face and neck. A face lift can also be done along with other procedures such as forehead lift, eyelid surgery or nose reshaping.
Suitable candidate for face lift:
* A man or a woman whose face and neck have began to sag but whose skin still has some elasticity.
* Whose patients bone structure is strong and well defined.
* Most patients are in their forties to sixties. But face lift can be done successfully on people in their seventies or eighties as well.
* A face lift can make you look younger and fresher may enhance your self confidence in the process. But it can’t give you a totally different look, nor can it restore the healthy and vitality of your youth.
Risks involved:
* When a facelift is performed by a qualified plastic surgeon, the complications and risks involved are minor. By following the doctors advise closely you can reduce your risks.
* Hematoma C a collection of blood under the skin that most be removed by the surgeon.
* Injury to the nerves that control facial muscles which are usually temporary.
* Infection and reactions to anesthesia.
* Smokers are usually affected by poor healing.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE?
Liposuction is an excellent procedure for reducing and reshaping the fat of the body. It can be done at almost any age. The best results are in people with good skin tone, so that the skin will shrink down to the reduced size of the underlying tissues. Loose, sagging skin will remain so after liposuction, so people with this problem may instead require a surgical lift.
Liposuction is a good treatment for diet-resistant fat, but it is not really suitable as a substitute for weight loss. By State law, liposuction of more than 5 kilograms (about 11 pounds) of material (combined fat plus body fluids plus injected fluids) requires that a patient stay overnight in a hospital. To avoid this expense and the higher risks associated with such “large-volume liposuction,” Dr. Cedars will not remove more than this amount, which translates into at most 8-9 pounds of fat. Practically, diet and exercise are a better route to weight loss for most people, saving liposuction to achieve body shaping or sculpting.
WHAT RESULTS CAN BE EXPECTED?
The treated areas will be thinner, typically flatter, and more shapely. Large bumps will be removed or reduced. While there is an immediate shape change after surgery, some swelling is normal. Most goes away over a month, but the final shape may not appear until perhaps 6 months.
It is a common misconception that if you remove, say, 5 pounds of fat with liposuction and then gain 5 pounds, you will end up the shape you started. In fact, the new weight will instead be distributed all over the body. It is possible to defeat the operation, however—if you gain large amounts of weight, some of it will go to the the treated areas—so we recommend exercise and an appropriate diet to be healthy and fit at any weight.
AFTERCARE
Pain typically requires mild narcotic pills for several days. Depending on the size of the area treated, most people are back at work within a week. To help shape and smooth the treated areas, the compression garment is worn for a month.

Many women are concerned about laxity and looseness of the upper thigh area. This can be a result of significant weight loss or simply loss of skin elasticity over time. Also the quality of the skin can change due to collagen damage from sun exposure.
The Thigh lift procedure is designed to remove excess skin, achieving attractive looking upper legs. Many patients state that they would not wear shorts or a bathing suit because of the loose skin on the upper legs. After the thighplasty procedure they have renewed confidence in their appearance and begin wearing clothing they previously avoided.
There are different types of thigh lifting procedures. For those that complain of the excess skin on the outer thighs, a Lateral Thigh Lift procedure targets that area. This procedure is designed to tighten skin on the front and the sides of the leg. The incision is made at the top of the leg. Dr. Mills will discuss the location of the incision in detail with you at the consultation. He will demonstrate how removing the excess skin will achieve a tighter, more youthful looking leg contour.

What is a blepharoplasty?
Over time, during normal aging or even with weight loss, the face will change resulting in excess skin laxity, joweling, wrinkling and even elongation of the facial skeleton itself compelling patients to seek correction. In addition, the skin of the eyelids may also sag resulting even in obstruction of vision. Eyelid surgery aims to restore the eyelid by removing excess skin, fat, and muscle. Dr. Kayser is a Michigan Plastic Surgeon who is Board Certified in Plastic surgery. As a perfectionist, Dr. Kayser will take all measures necessary to ensure that your results are the best that he can offer.
How long does a blepharoplasty last?
Although aging will always continue, one can expect long term changes with their eyelid surgery.
In addition, as the face ages, it actually looses volume and current trends in facial rejuvenation include the actual transfer of your own fat to help restore the natural contours of youth. This can also be applied to the periorbital region (the area around the eye) whereby the fat that is normally removed can actually be used to replace the volume lost in the upper cheek. Read Dr. Kayser’s article on fat grafting (Lipostructure) or call Dr. Kayser for a complete consultation to answer all your questions.
Can other procedures be combined with a blepharoplasty?
The face can actually be divided into thirds with the upper third including the forehead the middle portion including the eyes and lower third including the cheeks and jowels. These areas can easily be combined with eyelid surgery and actually help to maintain a uniform appearance.
How can I schedule a consultation with Dr. Kayser?
Considering a blepharoplasty is usually a well thought out process and, at Image by Design Plastic Surgery, we strive to ensure that all your questions are fully answered. Indeed, it is Dr. Kayser himself who conducts the entire consultation - a complete and thorough evaluation dedicated to each patient by the plastic surgeon that will be performing the procedure. This may take more time but it is essential so that each patient can make a fully informed decision.

An arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove loose skin and excess fat deposits in the upper arm. With age, upper arm skin can become loose and flabby. Plastic surgeons will discuss brachioplasty with patients who want to tighten this skin and look as good as they feel. In some cases your plastic surgeon may suggest that liposuction be used alone or in conjunction with an arm lift to remove excess fat in the upper arms.

Contrary to popular belief, a tight face is not synonymous with a young face. Indeed, outdated procedures that simply tighten or lift the skin often result in patient disappointment and frustration.Today, facial rejuvenation surgery entails much more than simply cutting excess or loose skin. With the help of a qualified plastic surgeon, successful facial rejuvenation surgery can result in a youthful natural appearance.
Choosing A Plastic Surgeon
Successful plastic surgery depends on a surgeon with proper experience, technical skill, aesthetic vision and innate talent. For this reason, choosing a proficient plastic surgeon is the top priority when considering any cosmetic procedure. Initially, patients should obtain referrals from their family physician, relatives, friends and/or other acquaintances in appropriate social settings.
Patients should consult with multiple–at least two or three–board-certified plastic surgeons certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery. Ensuring satisfactory certification is just the start, however. Ultimately, you will want to choose a surgeon with an excellent reputation for producing successful results each and every time.
Patients should also ask to see multiple photographs of a surgeon’s previous work. Likewise, patients should feel free to bring old photographs of themselves that reflect an idea of their expectations. While nothing is guaranteed, the surgical expectations of a particular patient are often clarified through old photographs. Combined with the surgeon’s aesthetic talent and trained eye, old photographs serve as the foundation for a youthful outcome.

Breast augmentation (or augmentation mammaplasty) is a cosmetic procedure that uses implants to enlarge and shape the breasts. Some of the reasons women seek breast enlargement surgery are to change the size or shape of their breasts, to bring balance when a breast that is smaller than the other, and to correct a loss of volume or fullness after weight loss or pregnancy.
Some women benefit from having a mastopexy (breast lift) along with the augmentation when the breasts are sagging.
The Procedure
Breast augmentation surgery is performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia and usually takes less than 2 hours. The incisions are small and usually located underneath the breast just above the crease or around the lower edge of the areola to keep scars as inconspicuous as possible. After the incision has been made, the surgeon creates a pocket into which the implant is inserted; either directly behind the breast tissue or beneath the muscle.
About the Implants
Most women receive saline-filled implants which are filled with sterile saltwater. The implants may also be filled with silicone gel, although the use of these implants is limited to patients who fill certain requirements. Your surgeon can provide you with information on the latest implant research. Dr. Gross offers cohesive breast implants.
Recovery
Upon leaving the operating room you will be wearing a supportive, elastic bra. Initial discomfort will be controlled with oral medication. Within a day or two you should be up and around and can resume light activities. After several weeks most of the swelling will be gone, exercise can be resumed and you will start to see your final results.
Results
Most women who have breast enlargement surgery are very pleased with the results and find that their new figure is more proportioned and gives them a greater sense of self-confidence.
Risks
The risks associated with breast enlargement surgery are not great. However, it should be noted that a small percentage of women may experience capsular contracture (a hardening of the scar tissue that forms around the implant which may require a surgical revision.) It is also important to keep in mind that most implants have to be replaced at some point within a woman’s lifetime as they are not life-long devices.
Pasadena plastic surgeon John Gross offers breast augmentation using saline breast implants and silicone breast implants.

The chemical peel is a widely accepted procedure to eradicate fine wrinkles in the skin. The procedure can be performed alone or at a later date after face lift or eyelid surgery.
Patients with fair complexions are better candidates as the chemical peel can remove pigment from the skin creating a line of demarcation between treated and untreated skin in patients with darker complexions.
The chemical peel creates a raw surface which heals in approximately ten days. Once healed, makeup can be applied. The peeled skin is initially red and rapidly fades to pink. This pink color may last for several months. Care must be taken to protect this skin from sun exposure by using a sun screen for at least six months.
Light chemical peels can be performed in the office. Deeper or full face peels are performed on an outpatient basis in a surgical center.

Rhinoplasty, or surgery to reshape the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Rhinoplasty can reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, narrow the span of the nostrils, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip. It may also correct a birth defect or injury, or help relieve some breathing problems.
If you’re considering rhinoplasty, this information will give you a basic understanding of the procedure-when it can help, how it’s performed, and what results you can expect. It can’t answer all of your questions, since a lot depends on the individual patient and the surgeon. Please ask your Dr. Malcolm Rude about anything you don’t understand.
The Best Candidates for Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty can enhance your appearance and your self-confidence, but it won’t necessarily change your looks to match your ideal, or cause other people to treat you differently. Before you decide to have surgery, think carefully about your expectations and discuss them with your surgeon.
The best candidates for rhinoplasty are people who are looking for improvement, not perfection, in the way they look. If you’re physically healthy, psychologically stable, and realistic in your expectations, you may be a good candidate.
Rhinoplasty can be performed to meet aesthetic goals or for reconstructive purposes-to correct birth defects or breathing problems.
Planning Your Surgery
Good communication between you and your physician is essential. In your initial consultation, the surgeon will ask what you’d like your nose to look like, evaluate the structure of your nose and face, and discuss the possibilities with you. He or she will also explain the factors that can influence the procedure and the results. These factors include the structure of your nasal bones and cartilage, the shape of your face, the thickness of your skin, your age, and your expectations.
Be sure to tell your surgeon if you’ve had any previous nose surgery or an injury to your nose, even if it was many years ago. You should also inform your surgeon if you have any allergies or breathing difficulties; if you’re taking any medications, vitamins, or recreational drugs; and if you smoke.
The Surgery
Rhinoplasty usually takes an hour or two, though complicated procedures may take longer. During surgery the skin of the nose is separated from its supporting framework of bone and cartilage, which is then sculpted to the desired shape. The nature of the sculpting will depend on your problem and your surgeon’s preferred technique. Finally, the skin is redraped over the new framework.

A forehead lift addresses the area of the upper face. It restores a more youthful, refreshed look to the area, making you look less tired, angry, or sad, by correcting drooping brows and improving the horizontal lines on your forehead. It is frequently performed with an upper lid blepharoplasty and can be performed with a face lift to provide facial balance and harmony.
The goal of the procedure is to raise the brow to a more aesthetically appealing position. It will also improve fullness over the outside corner of the lid, a scowling appearance of the eyes and horizontal frown lines of the forehead. It is not intended to create a look of surprise or what is commonly called the “deer in the headlights” look. Botox is not a substitute for a forehead lift, it can give you an idea of what to expect. Dr. Friedlander will show you potential areas of benefit during your consultation.
Several different approaches may be used, such as an endoscopic approach, a lateral brow and transblepharoplasy approach and rarely a coronal approach. Most often, only small incisions are required. The procedure is often performed with face lift and/or blepharoplasty. There may be some postoperative swelling or bruising, which resolves relatively quickly. You are able to return to work in a week if no other surgery is being performed.

Liposuction (or suction-assisted lipectomy) has become one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures performed today. Proven to be safe with minimal scarring and outstanding results, liposuction is the preferred method for removing fat from the, thighs, buttocks and midriff, as well as areas of the face, neck and arms. Liposuction is not an alternative to weight reduction, but can be very effective in removing fat from areas that do not respond to diet and exercise programs.
Suction-assisted lipectomy is performed by a doctor on an outpatient basis. A narrow tube (cannula) is inserted through a small incision. The doctor then manipulates the cannula, which is connected to a strong vacuum, breaking up fatty areas and suctioning out the fat.
Board certified plastic surgeon Dr T Lim is located in Anaheim and offers body contouring procedures for patients throughout Southern California including Hacienda Heights and Fullerton.

Breast reconstruction is one of the most challenging and rewarding areas of plastic surgery. Dr. Kind is one of a very few surgeons performing the deep inferior epigastric perforator or DIEP flap for breast reconstruction. This technique allows for the breast to be reconstructed with the patient’s own tissues, without the loss of any muscle. Dr. Kind has been performing this procedure since 1998. Patients from all over Northern California and beyond have come to San Francisco to be treated by Dr. Kind.
If you would like to speak to or contact one of Dr. Kind’s breast reconstruction (DIEP) patients, please contact Dr. Kind’s office.
BREAST RECONSTRUCTION OVERVIEW
There are many techniques available to reconstruct a breast following mastectomy. All of the techniques can be performed at the time of mastectomy. This is referred to as “immediate” breast reconstruction. Immediate breast reconstruction saves the patient at least one subsequent operation, and has been shown to have a significant psychological benefit, as the patient never experiences a mastectomy defect.

Abdominoplasty procedures are appropriate for patients with extra skin on their abdomen or for women who have developed loose stomach muscles after pregnancy. Abdominoplasty can remove loose skin and tighten muscles which have been separated. This procedure results in a dramatically flattened abdomen with an incision that is hidden by underwear or a bathing suit. Abdominoplasty is often combined with Liposuction particularly of the waist, abdomen and back to result in the most dramatic improvement in these areas, especially the waistline. Abdominoplasty incisions vary in length and are customized for each patient. In every case, Dr. Anthony will recommend the smallest incision which will meet your goals of a tighter, flatter abdomen.
Recovery time will vary for each patient and Dr. Anthony will discuss this with you at your consultation. The results after Abdominoplasty are often quite dramatic and should last a lifetime. Read more about Tummy Tuck in San Francisco…

Patients who desire a breast reduction in Dallas may have symptoms caused by the excessive weight of large breasts. During the consultation, you will be asked about your desired breast size as well as anything else about your breasts that you would like to see improved. This will help your plastic surgeon to understand your expectations and determine whether they realistically can be achieved. Once your goals have been determined you will set a date for this procedure in Dallas and will be given instructions about how to prepare.
When the date for your breast reduction in Dallas has arrived, you should plan on the surgery taking several hours or more. The most common method of reducing the breasts involves three incisions. One incision is made around the areola. Another runs vertically from the bottom edge of the areola to the crease underneath the breast. The third incision follows the natural curve of the breast crease.
After the plastic surgeon in Dallas has removed excess breast tissue, fat and skin, the nipple and areola are shifted to a higher position. The areola, which in large breasts usually has been stretched, also is reduced in size. Skin that was formerly located above the nipple is brought down and together to reshape the breast. Liposuction may be used to improve the contour under the arm. Usually, the nipples and areolas remain attached to underlying mounds of tissue, and this allows for the preservation of sensation. All procedures are performed with anesthesia to minimize any discomfort or pain.

The new CO2 pulse lasers are effective for treating fine wrinkles that occur with aging and exposure to the elements. We are using them for blepharoplasty and facial resurfacing either with or without facelift surgery. The laser also treats the vertical wrinkles that occur in the upper lip area. This new method for Laser Skin Resurfacing takes advantage of the abilitt of the laser to penetrate the skin to a precise depth. The consistency and degree of penetration affords an even effect over the entire treated area. The superficial skin is shed and new skin regenerates, providing a fresher, smoother appearance.
After the treatment the skin resembles a deep sunburn for about ten days. The redness fades and turns pink within a few weeks. Makeup can easily camouflage the pink color which disappears in one to three months.
During the healing process, we advise that patients avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.
Potential postoperative complications of pigmentary changes of the skin are managed through the preoperative and postoperative use of hydraquinone and retinoid creams. Hypertrophic scars and keloids are other problems for which the laser has application. The laser also removes small blood vessels, birthmarks, and tatoos from the skin.

If lower abdominal stretch marks or redundant skin across the lower abdomen is keeping you from wearing the clothes you’d like, keeping you from exercising, or spoiling what you see when you look in the mirror, a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) may be a good choice for you.
A Tummy Tuck actually involves two body changing procedures. Obviously, there is excision of redundant skin and fat on the lower abdomen but, less obviously, the weakness of the abdominal wall is tightened cinching in the waist several inches. Sometimes an old C-section scar is used to avoid new scars.
The procedure is done under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis. You can often resume many of your routine activities within weeks of surgery.
